If you are unable to get bricks to stay together when building:

As you stack the bricks, be sure all connections are firm. If you are building on top of the flat tiles try building the brick sections first and then carefully place the structures on the flat tiles. Remember that the bricks need to be able to topple when you launch a bird and the flat tiles allow this to happen.
Be sure to build sections separately on the table or in your hand before assembling to the build. This will eliminate the pressure on the build.
When you start building be sure you have enough room to set the launcher away from the structure to launch the birds. It is difficult to move the built structure without having pieces fall if you haven’t provided the room for the launching of the birds ahead of time.

If you can’t get birds to launch:

Be sure the bird is firmly seated upright in the launcher (with the launcher in an upright position you should see the top of the bird as you look straight down). The tabs on the brown launch arms should be fitted into the slots on the back of the bird. Secure the base with one hand and place your thumb and fore finger (or first knuckle) on the launch tabs. Snap them together quickly and firmly – much like if you were snapping your fingers.
You can adjust the position of the launcher to change the direction the bird will fly. If you are close to your structure move the launcher to an upright position before launching the bird. If you are farther away position the launcher at more of a diagonal to send the bird in an arc. Practice with the launcher in various positions to see which one works best for you. Note that positioning the launcher flat over the base with the bird facing straight up will probably result in an unsuccessful launch.
