Building Help --> RC BURNOUT:

1) Instructions Error on page 15:
a. Refer to the corrected page 15 below if the middle of your Burnout model seems to bow or sag, or if the gray Rods seem to be popping out at steps 15 and 16. In addition call us at 1-(800)-KID-KNEX to obtain 2 additional blue metallic Connectors in order to properly construct the "fix" shown below:

2) Instructions Error on page 24:
a. To determine where to hook the black Rod coming from the Nose Cone in step 15, please refer to the corrected photo. The black Rod from the Nose Cone hooks to the green Connector and NOT the brown Connector as shown in your instructions (you may have a newer printing of the instructions which shows the connection correctly, if not, please refer to the photo we have included here):

Building Help Tips and Technical Information:

1) My model doesn't move or make any noise:
a.
Make sure that the correct fresh batteries are installed in both the Drive Box and the Controller (we do not recommend using rechargeable batteries).

b. The Drive Box and Controller should have match MHz stickers (27 or 49 MHz). If they do not give us a call at 1(800)KID-KNEX.

c. Make sure your Drive Box is turned ON - it should make an idling noise.

d. The large wheel in the center of the Drive Box actually drives the model - make sure this wheel is turning easily forward and reverse.

2) My model is all built but it only turns in one direction:
a.
Make sure that the steering rod from the Drive Box to the Front End Assembly is hooked up properly. At the Front End Assembly refer to page 5 and page 16. For the Drive Box refer to page 12 (see the guy in the hard hat on that page for a close-up). The steering rod attached to the Drive Box in step 10 should move in and out with little resistance. If it doesn't give us a call at 1(800)KID-KNEX.

b. Check the steering trim. You can adjust it with the button on the underside of the Drive Box (see page 4, letter D).
