TROUBLESHOOTING:

"My Cyber Model is not working"

  1. Did you turn on the ON/OFF switch?

Some processors include an ON/OFF switch you must turn ON in order for the model to work, others have an internal ON/OFF switch you will not need to worry about. To determine if your Processor has an ON/OFF switch, account for all the cords coming from your processor. The ON/OFF switch is located at the end of one of the shortest blue cord that is attached to the Cyber Processor. The "I" indicates ON and the "O" indicates OFF. Please check to see if the switch is ON "I".

  2. Did you install all the batteries required for your Cyber set?

Ultra - 3 AAA in the Cyber Processor, 4 AA in the battery packs and 3 AAA in the Cyber Downloader.
Cybots - 3 AAA in the Cyber Processor, 2 AA in the battery pack.
Hyper Wheels - 3 AAA in the Cyber Processor, 2 AA in the battery pack.

  3. Did you push the "Blue Flash Button" located on the Cyber Port?

If you have just turned the Cyber Processor ON and/or the Cyber Key is in the Cyber Port you will need to push the "Blue Flash Button" to bring the model to life.

"The motors in the Cyber model do not work correctly."

Be sure you are using the correct motor plug as indicated in your instruction book for the battery packs. For the Ultra and Cybots sets the blue plug goes into the dual motor battery pack. For the HyperWheels set the blue plug goes into the single motor battery pack.

When building your Cyber models and installing the motors, you want to be sure to follow the orientation of the wires as indicated in the instructions, not the direction of the number on the motor.

PROGRAMMABLE KEYS:

"The single motor control button on my IR controller is not working with the programmable key."

If the single motor control button on the CyberK'NEX IR controller is working with the five personality keys but does not work with the programmable key you need to download a new "Programmable Key" program from the CyberK'NEX web site (www.cyberknex.com). This program comes bundled with the Cyber Downloader or Personality Programmer v2.0.1 program that you can downloaded from the site.

"The Cyber Downloader does not recognize the programmable key."

Please call 1-800-KID-KNEX, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. through 5 p.m. EST to receive information about acquiring a new programmable key.
