Your students will Imagine, Build, Play and Learn with this hands-on program designed for 30 students, ages 3 - 5. The big, soft, chunky Kid K'NEX pieces allow children with varying manipulative skills to participate. Designed to allow for an interdisciplinary approach to literacy, incorporating listening skills, following directions, art, creative play, mathematics and science, through fun and educational building activities, the included activities are sure to be the favorite part of your student's day. Using the unique Kid K'NEX building system in conjunction with the reading of Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar* book, or another book about caterpillars, students build models using the full color building instructions included. Additional ideas for activities are included. The activities can be structured so students take the models home at the conclusion of instruction or the materials can be collected for use with multiple classes.
