CLASSIC LINCOLN LOGS ARE BACK...RED CHIMNEYS AND ALL!

Hatfield, PA - No log building set has stood the test of time longer than Lincoln Logs! This year K'NEX Industries will bring back the original look of Lincoln Logs that parents and grandparents remember from their childhood days with a special Collector's Edition.

The Lincoln Logs Collector's Edition delivers the warmth and memories of the original building set from the 20's and 30's with cherry-wood stained logs and all. In addition to bringing back the original color palette, all parts in this nostalgic set will be made of wood, including the timeless green roof slats, eaves, and red chimneys. Housed in a limited edition, beautifully stained wood carrying case, the collector's edition has a completely nostalgic feel, right down to its leather handle.

According to Chris Campbell, Vice President Marketing for K'NEX, there is a true back-to-basics movement that is driving society to purchase classic toys. "In '99, we introduced updated Lincoln Logs play-sets like Frontier Explorer and sold out nationwide — selling 3 times more product than expected," he said.

Invented in 1916 by the son of famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, Lincoln Logs have brought the excitement of building into the homes and imaginations of children for over 80 years.
