OFFICIAL RULES

CONTEST DATES: November 1, 2011 - April 2, 2012.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Chance of winning is dependent upon the number of entries received. A purchase does not increase chances of winning. Entries are judged upon the criteria set out below.

SPONSORS: K'NEX Limited Partnership Group ("K'NEX") (2990 Bergey Road, Hatfield, PA 19440) and Cedar Fair L.P. (d.b.a. Cedar Point Amusement Park, One Cedar Point Drive, Sandusky, OH 44870)

HOW TO ENTER:

* Every teacher or student group leader who enters the Contest will automatically receive a promotional code good for 25% off all set purchases at knex.com, knexeducation.com, or via written purchase order approved by K'NEX, and placed no later than April 2, 2012.

All entries and submitted materials (submission forms, photos, and videos) become the property of the Sponsors and will not be returned.

PRIZES:
Five (5) Winning classrooms/student groups will each receive: One (1) of those five (5) classrooms/student groups identified as the fan favorite by an online vote of fans registering to vote at www.knex.com (all per the procedure set out below) will receive: * Additional discounted tickets will be available for purchase from Cedar Point Amusement Park by the winning school/group. All transportation costs to and from Cedar Point are the sole responsibility of the winners, as are all incidental costs, such as food.
** Sponsors will arrange for shipment of model to Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, OH at no cost to winning school or group/organization. At the end of the 2012 operating season at Cedar Point, winning models will be taken off display, broken down into small sections/individual parts, and the K'NEX parts will be shipped back to winning school at no cost to school or student group/organization. If winning school or group/organization wishes to have its model returned in its entirety, without being broken down into small sections/individual parts, the school will incur those shipping expenses. When notified, winners will receive detailed instructions about shipping submissions to Cedar Point. All winning models must be shipped to and from Cedar Point; no hand deliveries or pick-ups by local winners will be allowed.
*** All transportation, hotel rooms, meals, incidentals, car rentals, and additional expenses are the responsibility of the winning school. No cash or other substitution for such will be made by Cedar Point. Tour must be scheduled for one group on a date mutually agreed upon by Cedar Point and winner.

ELIGIBILITY:
Contest is open to all middle school and high school classrooms and student groups/organizations (grades 6 - 12) in the United States, except where noted below, and where prohibited. Classrooms attended by children of Sponsors and/or their parents, subsidiaries, or affiliated entities are not eligible to participate Entry requires approval from a School Official/Group Leader authorized to enter into contractual relationships on behalf of the school/group.

JUDGING PROCEDURE AND NOTIFICATION OF CONTEST WINNERS:

A total of Five winning classroom/group submissions (from all the eligible entries) will be chosen by a panel of judges, comprised of a select group of K'NEX Employees and Cedar Point Officials, who will base their decision on creativity (25%), uniqueness (25%), detail (25%) and the accuracy of detail provided in the written 500-600 word description (25%). K'NEX will notify the five (5) winning classroom teachers / student group leaders by email and/or phone on or about April 13, 2012.

The Five winners above will be posted online and opened to a public vote on www.knex.com for the fan favorite model. Entries, including model name, school name, school state and grade of students, will be posted on www.knex.com at 12:00 Noon ET on April 18, 2012. Voting will begin at 12:00 noon ET on April 18, 2012 through 12:00 noon ET April 24, 2012. Only those who register to vote at www.knex.com may vote. Individuals may register by visiting www.knex.com during the noted voting hours between April 18, 2012 and April 24, 2012, and providing an e-mail address and password. (No other personally identifiable information will be requested, and the e-mail addresses and passwords will be discarded and deleted after the winners are named, and used for no other purpose). Voting is limited to one vote per day per registered voter. Voters will be asked to choose their favorite entry from the posted finalists based upon their perception of the creativity and uniqueness of the model. K'NEX will notify the one (1) winning classroom teacher / student group leader by email and/or phone on or about April 24, 2012. In the event of a tie vote, an additional separate panel of K'NEX Employees and Cedar Point Officials will vote on the winner between the tied entrants, based upon the stated criteria.

After notifications are complete, an authorized representative of the winning school or student group will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability release, and, where permitted, a publicity release. If a winning school is found to be in violation of these Official Rules, if the prize notification letter or e-mail is returned as undeliverable, or if the signed affidavit of eligibility and liability release is not returned to K'NEX within 5 days, the prize will be awarded to the next highest scoring entrant. Winners who are discovered during prize verification to have entered or attempted to enter more than once may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the judges. Winners agree to use of name, address, likeness and/or prize information for promotional purposes in any medium without additional compensation to the extent permitted by law. Those not selected as one of the five winners will not be contacted, but participants can visit www.knex.com on May 9, 2012 to view the winners.

Model names should not be the same as a "real world" amusement park ride, as that is the property of someone else. Sponsors reserve the right to modify model names in the event a conflict with a trademark is identified.

All decisions made by the panel(s) of judges are final and non-appealable.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Void in Rhode Island, Florida, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories and possessions and where prohibited. By participating in this Contest, each entrant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules, agrees to be bound by the decisions of the judges in selecting winners, and warrants that he/she/it is eligible to participate in this Contest. By entering this Contest, winners agree to release Sponsors and any parent, subsidiary, affiliated or successor entities, and its or their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents, including, without limitation, its or their advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability, loss, actions, demands, claims, or damages arising from or in connection with participation in this Contest or the awarding, receipt, and/or use or misuse of any prize, or participation in any prize-related activities. Neither Sponsors, nor any parent, subsidiary, affiliated or successor entities or its or their respective directors, officers, employees or agents will have any liability or responsibility for any injury, loss, action, demand, or claim or other liability of any kind arising in connection with participation in the Contest or any prize awarded. This Contest will be governed by the internal laws of the State of Delaware. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States of America.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Sponsors and judges are not responsible for lost, late, mutilated, illegible, incomplete, garbled, postage due, or misdirected entries, mail or communications, for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, or delays in operations or transmission of information, in each case whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of computer hardware, software, communications devices, or transmission lines, or data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials. Sponsors and judges are not responsible for electronic communications which are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind, or insufficient space in entrant's e-mail account to receive e-mail messages. Sponsors disclaim any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with this Contest, and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or suspend this Contest should any virus, bug, bots, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes beyond Sponsors' control corrupt or otherwise affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Contest.

CAUTION: Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify and/or seek damages from any such entrant to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsors reserve the right to change the prize offerings at any time, but such will not be less than the estimated value of current prizes. Sponsors also reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant from any other promotion conducted by Sponsors, now or in the future, if entrant's fraud or misconduct affects the integrity of this Contest. In the event this contest is compromised by virus, bugs, unauthorized intervention or other causes beyond the control of Sponsors which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsors, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest, Sponsors reserve the right in their sole discretion to suspend or terminate the Contest.

Privacy Note: K'NEX is committed to protecting the privacy of children. Entry information will only be used to administer this Contest or otherwise in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Information on the winning classrooms/student groups, including school/group names, states, grade levels, photos of the model, and class photo (of those students who have submitted a parental release for same), may be posted online at Sponsors' websites. No personal information on students will be used except as needed to administer this Contest or in accordance with Sponsors' Privacy Policy. By entering the Contest you agree to receive communications from the Sponsors regarding Contest.

IDEAS BUILT WITH EXISTING K'NEX PIECES AND COMPONENTS Entries must be constructed using existing (current or previously marketed) K'NEX parts. The use of adhesives is not permitted. All designs submitted (submission forms, photos, and videos) become the exclusive property of Sponsors, and entry materials will not be returned. Entrant acknowledges and agrees that by submitting this entry, it hereby transfers and assigns all rights in the model under any copyright, patent or other intellectual property laws to K'NEX. Sponsors may illustrate the model in its catalogs, instruction books, websites, or in any other media now known or later invented, and may otherwise inform its customers and potential customers of the model, whether or not entry is selected as a winner. Sponsors, and any parent, subsidiary, affiliated or successor entities, and any of its or their present or future customers, may construct and use the model without any further authorization and without any payment or royalties of any kind to the School/Group.
