K'NEX for 3 - 5 year olds:

These are years filled with endless awe and exploration for the child in this age group. Cares are few and the desire to know 'why' leads many an investigation into the world around the child. As parents we seek to provide our children with an environment filled with exciting and challenging toys that excite our children's' interests but are still age appropriate. How is a parent to know? Do you merely check the age range on the box or is there more to consider as we make informed toy decisions.

At K'NEX our goal is to provide the finest in imaginative and creative toys for your child. In an effort to provide your child with and exciting building experience, we have reviewed some of the child development research so we can provide some guidance as you make selections. Ultimately the decision is in your hands and we are confident that you will make selections that expand and extend your child's play experiences.

As children grow through the years from age 3 to age 5 their interest in moving parts and realistic detail becomes piqued, they become more and more familiar with primary colors and expand their ability to sort items. The KID K'NEX product line provides those realistic models with moving parts while at the same time providing plenty of primary colors and a myriad of parts to sort and organize in a variety of ways.

Also, as children move through these formative years, there is more and more of a plan to their play. They organize play worlds of their own and act out the roles of the various people, creatures, or vehicles in that world. As children are also developing the ability to connect construction pieces in specific order to create simple models you will notice that their models will begin to take on more identifiable features.
