Did you know that 1 in 10 to 1 in 5 kids and teens will be affected by a gastrointestinal (GI) disorder? And, because children are not just miniature adults, they need to be treated with specialized care in centers that have expertise in pediatrics.
The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia provides extraordinary care to thousands of children each year and gives hope to many more with their groundbreaking research.
Despite the common nature of these disorders, GI research is severely undervalued and underfunded. Funds raised will allow CHOP researchers to focus on finding the best non-invasive treatments and cures for every type of pediatric GI disorders.
At Children's Hospital the race to find better care and cures for illnesses and diseases, like GI disorders, that strike children is never ending and you can help!
From November 8th - December 12th, K'NEX will donate 10% of online sales to support pediatric gastroenterology research at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. In addition, at checkout, every shopper at www.knex.com will have the opportunity to donate additional funds!
