When did you start building with K’NEX?
My experience with K’NEX began at the age of seven when I received my first K’NEX roller coaster set as a Christmas present.
How did you come up with the idea for your winning model?
I wanted to build a roller coaster using as many K’NEX pieces as possible. Eventually, I decided on an out & back, wooden style roller coaster.
What has been your most challenging K'NEX creation?
My most challenging K’NEX creation so far has been an inverted roller coaster where the train is located underneath the track.
Do you have a favorite past K'NEXpert? If so, who?
My favorite past K’NEXpert is Ian from the 2010 K’NEXperts contest with his Chinese Imperial Dragon Model.
How many siblings do you have? What are their age(s) and gender(s)?
I have one brother who is 16.
Do they build with K'NEX too? Do you build models together?
My brother has built one K’NEX roller coaster before, but we never build models together.
What are your favorite hobbies (besides building with K’NEX)?
I enjoy downhill skiing, tennis, and playing video games.
What is your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject in school is math.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be an engineer when I grow up.
What is the coolest part about being a K’NEXpert?
The coolest part about being a K’NEXpert is being able to share my creations with the world.
What advice do you have for other kids who want to be a K’NEXpert?
My advice for other kids who want to be a K’NEXpert is to be open to new ideas and explore with your designs. The possibilities with K’NEX are endless. You can come up with the most incredible things, all you have to do is open your imagination.
