Question and Answer:

When did you start building with K'NEX?
I started building with K'NEX when I turned four, and have been building ever since. What was your most challenging K'NEX creation? My Chinese Imperial Dragon was probably the hardest model I have made. The main problem was that the head became too heavy for the neck to support. I solved this by putting a tower through the neck. I had a similar problem with one of my previous entries, Belly of the Beast. Another problem that I encountered was that I was running out of the right parts. I counted about 14 kinds (and colors) that I had run out of.Where did you come up with the idea for your winning model?Over the summer my family and I went to Malaysia. We saw a lot of temples, many of which had Chinese dragons on them. I thought that it would be cool to build one, so I did.Do you have a favorite past K'NEXpert, if so who?I thought that Tim's entries were pretty cool. How many siblings do you have? What are their age(s) and gender?I have one sixteen-year-old sister.

Do they build with K'NEX too? Do you build models together?
Not really, but my dad sometimes does.

What are your favorite hobbies (besides building with K'NEX)?
I have many hobbies. I like to read, camp, backpack, cook, juggle, and play ping-pong. My favorite sport is soccer, followed by basketball. I also like to build things out of anything.

What is your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subjects are art and PE. I also like lunch.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to go to Caltech and become an engineer. What has been the coolest part about being a 2010 K'NEXpert?I liked all of it. It was really cool to walk around K'NEX headquarters and see the designer's rooms. It would be fun to build things for a living! I also liked touring the K'NEX factory.
